WITH INTEGRITY

Serving all ages with care & compassion

At Salt Creek Family Dental in Hinsdale, IL, the road to lifelong dental health begins with a comprehensive wellness visit that includes a comfortable cleaning, x-rays and a personalized exam. We serve all age groups, from children to seniors, and offer a full range of dental services.

Your initial visit includes an oral cancer screening, visual examination of the teeth and supporting structures, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We also take digital x-rays  to review your bone profile and check for cavities in between the teeth.

PREVENTATIVE CARE & Dental EXAMS FOR ALL AGES

Our core services are centered around preventative care and your long-term dental health. Both natural and restored teeth thrive in a healthy oral environment that is clean and where the intake of harmful foods is controlled.

Our approach is designed to help prevent new cavities, preserve teeth that have been restored and manage periodontal disease. From the initial visit to periodic maintenance visits, we’ll review and encourage optimum oral hygiene practices.

Let’s Meet Every 6 Months

A check up every six months ensures that your teeth are examined by our dental experts who can detect and treat any potential problems early on to help avoid any potential dental emergencies in between visits. In addition to your daily brushing and flossing, a professional cleaning removes the build up of tartar and plaque, which can cause cavities and gum disease.

Protecting you Pearly Whites Between Visits

Some friendly reminders for caring for your smile:

• Brush your teeth twice a day in a circular motion with a soft bristled toothbrush aimed at the gum.

• Floss daily in an up-and-down motion, while keeping the floss in a U-shape and against the tooth surface.

• Avoid smoking.

• Avoid sticky, sugary foods and eat a balanced diet.

• Use antiseptic and fluoride rinses as directed.

• Consider having sealants placed on young permanent teeth.
